BLOG POST

From Journal to Blog

Journaling is something I do regularly. The purpose for me is to capture the thoughts thats are alive during the span of the day. I go through phases of sticking to a certain time and duration for it, mainly within the first couple of hours of my day, recapping the last day, and other times it might just be capturing and noting down a thought in that particular moment. The benefit for me is to look back and reflect on my 'trail of thoughts' and see how embodied I am: the connection between head and heart.

There are times when I just don't feel like journalling, and it's in these moments I feel it's more important than others to capture what I am feeling. Sometimes I'm not in the mood to sit down and do it, and other times I capture myself saying I don't have time for it, but then I feel like those moments are more important to put the pen to paper. (I feel the same with meditation, the people who say they don't have time to meditate once a day should therefore probably be meditating twice a day!)

Through many of my coaching sessions over the last years, various community gatherings, sharing circles and meet-ups alike, I have realised that the theme of a lot of my journal notes, my thoughts, feelings and impulses are not so thematically unique to me. There seems to be a commonality to a lot of my process of growth, development and continued discovery to others. Whether this be a societal, generational or just human like influence, I have found solace in the fact the there are others that seem to relate to what I note about in my journal. I have dissected some of the more alive themes that I've written about over the past while and laid them out in a bit of a more digestible format which I might bring you that same solace of commonality.

I always enjoy a conversation about what's alive in others and sharing more heartfelt ways expression, so feel free to reach out if any of these articles spark something in you worthy of a good coffee and conversation!
